Joints formed by welding and the like.-In a tube joint of the kind in which the two ends 1, 1<1> of the tubes to be connected are enlarged to engage over a sleeve 2, 2', a space being provided between the said ends which is filled with solder or welding material 3, the end of one of the tubes fits tightly over the sleeve, preferably by shrinking, whilst the end of the other is a sliding or free fit. The enlarged ends of the tubes may be of conical, cylindrical or other shape, with the sleeve shaped accordingly.
