Abstract

270,898. Dales, A. May 10, 1926. Renewable treads; hoof-pads and sole-plates.- A pad, particularly for use with shoes having heel-calks, comprises a backing, sheet a of rubber and canvas, leather, or sheet-metal, and a heelbar b of vulcanized rubber or similar material, which has lateral projections b<1> by which it interlocks with the heel-calks c<1> when the shoe is applied to the pad in the manner indicated. The sheet a may be cut away so as to cover only a part of the hoof.
